Mrs. Chamberlain is honored to be part of the innovative team at BYU Online High School. She is inspired by the school’s vision, mission, and values, which extend the spirit of a BYU education to high school students throughout the world. These values foster a spiritually strengthening, intellectually enlarging, and character-building education that leads to lifelong learning and service, all within a safe online environment that utilizes best practices. Mrs. Chamberlain values servant leadership and is committed to supporting students, families, faculty, and staff as they learn, grow, and serve.
A native Texan, Mrs. Chamberlain attended Texas A&M University and Sam Houston State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with specializations in English, Language Arts, and Reading, as well as a Master of Education in Administration with Principal Certification.
Certified as both a teacher and administrator in Texas and Utah, Mrs. Chamberlain brings experience from online and brick-and-mortar public and private schools. Over the past twenty years, she has served as an English Language Arts teacher and interventionist, English language specialist and interventionist, school board secretary, administrative consultant, head of school, principal, and assistant superintendent. Throughout her career, she has been devoted to developing, leading, and teaching in diverse educational settings.

Mr. Roberson has been part of the BYU community for 18 wonderful years. He enjoys leading information sessions that share the many opportunities available through BYU Online High School, as well as traveling to recruit and meet current and prospective students and their families. Building those connections and helping families learn about BYU Online High School is one of his favorite parts of his work.
During his entire education, Mr. Roberson missed only one day of school—a fun fact that reflects his lifelong appreciation for learning.
Mr. Roberson loves to travel, with backpacking as one of his favorite ways to unwind. Europe is his favorite travel destination, especially Italy, where he served as a missionary. Since then, Italy has remained a place he loves to visit often.

Mrs. Shinkle loves being a part of the BYU Online High School community as an Assistant Principal. She has a background in special education, science, and administration. She has taught self-contained special education classes, co-taught Earth Science and Biology, and served as an administrator at both the junior high and high school levels. These experiences have strengthened her passion for helping students succeed academically, socially, and personally.
One of Mrs. Shinkle’s greatest joys is working with students and families as they navigate challenges and celebrate successes. She loves building relationships, finding solutions, and helping ensure that every student has the support needed to thrive. Her goal is for every student and family to feel valued, supported, and connected as they work toward graduation.
Mrs. Shinkle is grateful to be part of the BYU Online High School community and looks forward to continuing her work with its outstanding students, families, and staff.

Mr. Weirich is excited to be part of the BYU Online High School community as an Assistant Principal. Throughout his career in education, he has had the opportunity to serve as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, and principal at the secondary level. These experiences have strengthened his belief that every student has unique gifts and the ability to achieve great things when they feel supported, challenged, and valued.
Mr. Weirich earned his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University, where he also met his wife, who inspires him each day to become a better person. He later earned a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Texas Tech University.
Outside of work, Mr. Weirich and his wife enjoy spending time with their five energetic children, cheering them on in their many activities, and seeking new adventures together. He is grateful for the opportunity to serve at BYU Online High School and looks forward to working with students, families, faculty, and staff.

Mrs. Flood is passionate about helping students reach their full potential and succeed academically, socially, and personally. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a master’s degree in School Counseling, with more than 12 years of experience serving students at both the junior high and high school levels.
Her work includes academic planning, college and career readiness, and social-emotional support. Mrs. Flood takes a student-centered, collaborative approach by building strong relationships and creating personalized plans that reflect each student’s goals and strengths. She values open communication with students, families, and educators to ensure every student feels supported throughout their educational journey.

Mrs. Palmer is an academic advisor who is dedicated to helping students make informed decisions and feel hopeful about their futures, wherever they may be on their educational paths.
Mrs. Palmer began her own academic journey by earning an associate degree from the College of Eastern Utah, followed by a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Southern Utah University. She later earned a master’s degree in Academic Advising from Kansas State University—a path that reflects her belief that academic journeys do not have to be linear.
Before joining BYU Online High School, Mrs. Palmer worked with college students at Brigham Young University as they explored programs and career opportunities in STEM and communications. Through this work, she enjoyed meeting prospective high school students who were exploring their futures, which inspired her desire to support the high school student population.
Mrs. Palmer is excited to work with BYU Online High School students and looks forward to getting to know them as they pursue their goals.

Ms. Evans loves serving as a school counselor at BYU Online High School. She served as a missionary in Romania and earned her bachelor’s degree from BYU–Idaho. With several years of mentoring and advising experience, she has had the opportunity to connect with individuals from around the world.
Ms. Evans understands the importance of education and finds great joy in supporting students throughout their academic journeys. She is passionate about helping students gain the confidence, resources, and tools they need to take action and achieve their goals.
One of her favorite quotes is, “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.” This principle guides her commitment to empowering students with the skills and support they need for lasting success.
Ms. Evans is excited to be part of each student’s academic journey at BYU Online High School.

Mrs. Spencer loves serving as a school counselor at BYU Online High School. She earned her master’s degree in School Counseling from Capital University in Ohio. Her goal is to provide a safe space for students and support them as they work toward their individual goals.
Mrs. Spencer enjoys getting to know students, sharing the occasional joke, and building strong counselor-student relationships. She is committed to helping each student feel seen, supported, and encouraged throughout their educational journey.
Outside of work, Mrs. Spencer enjoys spending time with her husband and their Pomeranian, Piccolo. She loves being outdoors, traveling to new places, and making memories. She also enjoys all kinds of games—including video games and board games—finding great television shows and movies, and attending concerts.

Mrs. Spicker is excited to serve as a school counselor at BYU Online High School. She is passionate about helping students grow through class and career exploration while providing a safe, supportive space where they can work toward their goals.
Mrs. Spicker earned her master’s degree in School Counseling from Utah State University and has served as a high school counselor for approximately 10 years. Through her work with a wide variety of students, she has learned that every student is on a unique journey. She loves connecting with students and watching their goals and career opportunities unfold throughout their high school years.
Born and raised in Utah, Mrs. Spicker has also lived in New Jersey and Taiwan. These experiences deepened her love for learning about different cultures, meeting new people, and trying new foods.
Mrs. Spicker enjoys learning new skills and is currently embracing a “hobby era.” Her interests include welding, loom work, woodworking, bread and cheese making, glassblowing, and botany. She also loves visiting National Parks and collecting Junior Ranger badges. Spending time outdoors brings her great joy, and she can often be found hiking in the mountains, exploring waterfalls, identifying wildflowers, fishing, and spending time with her husband.

Mrs. Perkins is excited to join BYU Online High School as a school counselor. She earned her master’s degree in School Counseling from Utah Valley University and has experience working with both high school and college students.
Mrs. Perkins believes that every student has unique strengths and potential. She loves helping students discover the path that is right for them and is committed to creating a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel heard, valued, and empowered to succeed academically and personally.
Outside of school, Mrs. Perkins enjoys spending time with her husband and young son, exploring the outdoors, and appreciating the simple joys of everyday life. She is grateful to be part of the BYU Online High School community and looks forward to getting to know and supporting students throughout the year.
